TRI-CURE SB
Resin based concrete curing compound
Description
TRI-CURE SB is a curing compound used for spraying into the
surface of concrete to provide an effective and economical
method of curing, and prevention of premature water loss in
concrete.
Standards Compliance
Product certified by (National Research Centre)
ASTM C 309
(type 1 – class B)
Mode of Action
TRI-CURE SB forms a film that retains sufficient moisture in the concrete to ensure full hydration of the cement, essential for optimum strength development. Membrane-cured concrete is typically harder and exhibits a dust-free surface with a reduced incidence of drying shrinkage cracks.
TRI-CURE SB life cycle of the formed film is dependent on many variables, including the application method, film thickness, UV exposure, concrete porosity, and the degree of exposure to weathering.
NOTE
In some applications, or if needed, Tri-Cure should be removed by sand blasting or by mechanical methods before applying any coating or renders.
Typical Uses
TRI-CURE SB is used for:
- Providing a resin membrane on the surface of newly placed concrete to retain moisture for effective curing.
- Suitable for all general concreting applications.
Advantages
- Reduces surface shrinkage and cracking.
- Easy to apply.
- Enables concrete to hydrate effectively.
- No waiting – apply as soon as possible after placing concrete.
- Reduces labor costs.
- Suitable before applying coatings or renders.
